Meet our Chef
Matt and Steve have been the closest of friends for more than 25 years. Together they would dream of the business they would build together. Much of those very dreams have now become a reality for those two old friends. Steve Freeman came on board as our Executive Chef in the early stages of us building d.Donatelli. Steve is a skilled butcher and received his culinary training at the Art Institute of Atlanta. Bringing with him both the skill of running a highly effective kitchen; Steve's attention to detail and passion for our guest experience made him the top candidate for the job. A native of Chattanooga and currently residing in Flintstone, Chef Freeman is looking forward to putting down roots here in Dalton. We believe that the kitchen is truly the Heart of our business and that the energy and life that spills forth is artistry that should be on display. The kitchen at d.Donatelli has been designed to be completely open so that our guests can see all that is happening and that the Heart of our House is felt everywhere. Chef Freeman is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his son Landon when he manages a day off. We look forward to a long and happy career for Chef Steve.
Meet our Managers
Conly King comes to us from working and managing golf and country clubs. He is an avid gamer and loves being at home with his husband Chad. Conly loves to be busy. You will find him running around the restaurant and market spaces making sure everything is stocked and greeting tables.
Kasey Henzman while having experience in the golf and country club industry the bulk of his career have been in local restaurants right here in Dalton. Kasey is a fitness fanatic and loves working out after a busy shift. Jordan, Kasey's wife, works as a respiratory therapist and loves to frequent d.Donatelli on her nights off from the hospital.
